Prep Boys Ice Hockey
The Boys Prep Ice Hockey Program is one of Shady Side Academy’s premier athletic offerings, providing student-athletes with a highly competitive and development-focused environment on and off the ice. Competing in the Midwest Prep Hockey League (MPHL), the team regularly faces top-tier prep school opponents across North America and plays a national schedule against some of the strongest U18 AAA programs in the country.
In 2023, the team set a school record with 32 wins, reflecting the program’s rapid growth and rising national profile. Boys Prep Hockey offers a comprehensive training model that includes five practices per week, two skill-development sessions, and four strength-training sessions at our state-of-the-art Roy McKnight Hockey Center. These resources allow our student-athletes to train, compete, and perform at an elite level.
