Shady Side Academy celebrated the 106 members of the Class of 2026 at Commencement on June 6, 2026, at the Michael J. Farrell Stadium. The ceremony featured a senior speech by Nicholas Grzymkowski and a keynote address by Alison Fragale ’93, professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and bestselling author. Senior Clarke Wickland presented the class gift. Members of the graduating class are off to numerous esteemed universities and colleges this fall, attending 78 institutions in 37 states and Washington, D.C., Canada, and, for the first time in Shady Side history, Ireland. Additionally, 24 recruited athletes will play in 10 different sports across DI, DII, and DIII institutions.
