Students in Shady Side Academy's Middle and Senior Schools raised a total of $1,341.90 for pediatric cancer through "Wear a Hat for Cancer" fundraisers at each school.

Students were invited to make a $2 donation in exchange for wearing a hat to school on Nov. 17 (Senior School) and Nov. 22 (Middle School) to raise awareness for pediatric cancer. Funds raised were donated to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to benefit pediatric cancer patients.

The service effort was led by SSA students Samantha Goodman (11th grade) and Blake Goodman (8th grade).
