Alumni Join Choir and Strings for "That Lonesome Road" 

Surprise Event for Dr. Dan Brill

Alumni joined the Senior School choir and strings ensembles in performing That Lonesome Road at the conclusion of the Senior Honors Choir & Strings Concert on May 5, 2022. It was the final concert directed by music teacher Dr. Dan Brill, who is retiring at the end of the 2021-2022 school year after 35 years of teaching at SSA. Watch the video.

On Thursday, May 12, alumnus Jim Finkel '78 hosted nearly 50 alumni at The University Club in Manhattan for a reception and wine tasting from his personal collection. Thank you to Jim and all of those who attended. The SSA team received a very warm welcome back to New York.

Boys Tennis Team Advances to PIAA Quarterfinals

SSA defeated McDowell, 4-1, in the first round and will face Lower Merion in the quarterfinals on Friday, May 20, in Hershey, Pa.  Read more.

Twelve More Senior Athletes Sign With College Athletics Programs

Twelve members of the Class of 2022 signed letters committing to play NCAA Division I or III college athletics in seven different sports.  Read more.

Alumnus and current CMU professor spoke via Zoom with students about his career in aerospace engineering, and helped sixth graders prepare for their Mars Project. Read more. 

 

Skyy Moore '19 Drafted by NFL's Kansas City Chiefs in Second Round

The former SSA quarterback and Western Michigan wide receiver became the third Shady Side player drafted by the NFL and was the 54th overall pick in the draft. Read more. 

 

Health Care Leader Dr. Marc Harrison '82 Speaks at Senior School

The president and CEO of Intermountain Healthcare, Dr. Harrison talked about his lifetime pursuit of making health care more equitable and affordable for all. Read more.
