Bulldog Day Alumni Gathering Tomorrow |

| Tomorrow, Thursday, April 21, in honor of National Bulldog Day, the Academy is planning a celebration of our mascot at all four campuses. Pittsburgh alumni are invited to join the celebration at a happy hour at Hitchhiker Brewing in Sharpsburg from 5-7 p.m. The SSA Alumni Council will be on hand to collect donations of new or gently used dog and cat toys, harnesses, leashes, beds, odoban, bleach, laundry detergent, food, treats and blankets for local animal shelter FurKid Rescue. Join the #BuildtheBulldog Project |

| In honor of Bulldog Day tomorrow, April 21, Shady Side Academy has launched the #BuildtheBulldog project, an initiative to create a collaborative, crowdsourced, 3D-printed statue of the SSA bulldog, who will stand guard on the porch of the Glimcher Tech & Design Hub. There are two ways you can help us build the bulldog: 3D print a blue piece or make a gift of support to engrave a gold piece. Learn more. |

The SSA Memorial Hall Library Project |

| This project will convert the Senior School's Memorial Hall to a contemporary library that serves as a hub for academic research, collaborative learning and small community events. The initial phase of construction is tentatively scheduled to begin this summer. Read more about the project here. | This is a surprise event! Senior School Choir and Strings Teacher Dr. Dan Brill is retiring from Shady Side Academy this spring. Join us for his last concert on Thursday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Hillman Center for Performing Arts, Senior School campus. Alumni will have a special opportunity to sing alongside students in a special tribute to Dr. Brill. Email Jamie Scott '98 if you are interested in participating. We hope to fill the Richard E. Rauh Theater to celebrate Dr. Brill's time at SSA. |

| Alumni in the New York City area will gather for a special event with President Bart Griffith '93, graciously hosted by Jim Finkel '78, on Thursday, May 12, from 6-8 p.m., at The University Club. The reception will feature a Burgundy wine tasting from Mr. Finkel's private collection. For the safety of all guests, we ask that all attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19.
