Recaps & Good News Oct. 21, 2021
Dear Shady Side Families,
The Shady Side Academy Haunted Walk is back!
On Friday, Oct. 29, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Senior School, students and their families can be spooked and surprised by live "haunters" played by our own Senior School students.
The ¾-mile walk through the woods is a family-friendly, all ages event; younger children should come at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy mild spooks and trick-or-treating, while older children may come later as the walk will get a little spookier as the night progresses. Yours truly, always a bit of a "Fraidy Cat," will likely walk a little earlier in the evening!
After the walk, families should plan to stick around for a bonfire, hot apple cider and the company of SSA friends. Eat, drink, and be scary!
On the heels of the recent Academy-Wide Family Tailgate and Homecoming Weekend, the Haunted Walk presents another opportunity for Shady Side students, parents, and alumni to come together in community spirit.
Thanks so much to the United Parents' Association for organizing these fun events. I look forward to seeing everyone there. Best,
