Dear Shady Side Academy Community,

It has been exciting to see so many of you embrace the Bulldogs as our new mascot! I write today to update you on the development of the SSA Bulldogs athletic brand and logos – and to invite you to participate in a short survey.

SSA President Bart Griffith has asked me to lead the Bulldogs branding effort by engaging a professional design firm and chairing a small steering committee. I am pleased to announce that after an extensive search, we have selected Rickabaugh Graphics as our design partner. One of the nation's top sports branding firms, Rickabuagh has designed logos and identities for hundreds of professional, college and K-12 sports programs. The steering committee will work closely with Rickabaugh over the next few months to design a full athletic identity package for the SSA Bulldogs, including logos, wordmarks, a mascot costume and more. 

Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey, which will help inform Rickabaugh's research and development process. The survey will close at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 24:

Later this spring, as we narrow down the logo design concepts to a few finalists, we will engage small focus groups of SSA constituents for testing and feedback. Our goal is to launch the new SSA Bulldogs brand and logos to the community by May 2021.
