Dear Shady Side Community,

On behalf of the Mascot Search Committee, we are thrilled to announce the 22 semifinalists in the Shady Side Academy Mascot Search! There has been a tremendous amount of community participation to date, and we applaud your efforts and enthusiasm.

Over the past two weeks, the search committee has thoroughly reviewed more than 600 mascot suggestions from the community. Each submission was evaluated in light of our pre-established mascot search parameters and extensively discussed, resulting in the 22 deserving semifinalists.

We invite you to take this last opportunity to participate in the mascot search process by telling us your favorite semifinalists! Use the survey link below to select up to three semifinalists. Choose the three you like the most and that you feel would serve Shady Side Academy well as a mascot for the next 150 years, best representing the characteristics of our school community.

This final round of community input will help the search committee select the finalists, which will be presented to the Board of Trustees for a vote before Winter Break 2020.
