The Shady Side Academy girls soccer shut out Mercer, 3-0, at Slippery Rock High School in the quarterfinal round of the PIAA 1A Girls' Soccer Championship on Saturday, Nov. 9. Junior Melissa Riggins scored two goals while sophomore Sophia White scored one. Senior Molly Skvorak made four saves for the shutout in goal.

UPDATE TO GAME SCHEDULE

SSA will face Greensburg Central Catholic in a rematch of the WPIAL championship game in the PIAA semifinal round on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Peters Township at 5:30 p.m. SSA is seeking its second state title, having won its first PIAA crown in 2017.
