Senior Annabel Kuhn scored first to give SSA a 1-0 lead, and junior Jenny Woodings scored the game-winning goal late in the second quarter.

It marks the program's third consecutive Class A field hockey title and 17th WPIAL title overall - Shady Side won 14 WPIAL Class 2A titles between 1993-2013 before moving to Class 1A in 2016.

With the win, SSA (11-1) advances to the PIAA Class 1A Field Hockey Championship and will play Forbes Road on Saturday, Nov. 14, at noon.

Congratulations to Head Coach Betsy Gorse and the entire team on their championship season! Good luck in the state playoffs!
