Shady Side Academy alumna Pooja Tripathi '10 and her co-creator, Dionne van den Berg, are preparing to launch a new web series in November called Amsterdam Ave, a dramedy about two girls, one Dutch and one American, switching places to follow their dreams while living in Amsterdam and New York City.

Tripathi is a co-writer, co-producer and actress in the series, which is currently in post-production. She says goal is for it to gain enough of an audience online in the first season to be picked up by a streaming service for season two.

A world premiere screening of the first two episodes was held in New York City on Sept. 12. Additional public screenings are scheduled at Wework Chicago (Sept. 25), Carnegie Mellon University (Oct. 9), and in the Netherlands.

While in Pittsburgh to screen the series at her college alma mater, CMU, Tripathi will also visit her high school alma mater to screen the series and hold a Q&A for SSA Senior School students during an all-school assembly on Friday, Oct. 4.

Fellow SSA alumni in the area are invited to attend one of the upcoming screenings in Chicago or Pittsburgh. View the full screening schedule.
