Student Talent Shines as Winter Musical Wins Two Gene Kelly Awards
Shady Side Academy’s Senior School production of “Anything Goes” earned two top honors at the 2026 Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater. Students received awards for Outstanding Scenic Design and Outstanding Crew/Technical Execution.
The musical, performed February 13–15 in the Richard E. Rauh Theater at the Hillman Center for Performing Arts, also earned a nomination for Outstanding Student Orchestra.
The Gene Kelly Awards, held May 26, 2026, were established in 1991 to recognize student achievement in musical theater and promote continued support for arts education.
