Fourteen Shady Side Academy seniors have been named Semifinalists in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Competition, earning recognition among some of the nation’s highest-achieving high school students. 

The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes academically talented students based on their outstanding performance on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. These students are now in the running for one of the 2,500 National Merit Scholarships that will be awarded in the spring.
