2026 Greek Museum
A Living History of Ancient Greece at the Junior School

Fourth grade students at Shady Side Academy Junior School stepped into the world of ancient Greece during the 28th annual Greek Museum, an interdisciplinary tradition that blends history, creativity, and performance. Transforming into gods and goddesses, warriors, and philosophers, students designed their own costumes and delivered first-person monologues as living “statues” for visiting families and classmates.

The project combines reading, writing, public speaking, visual arts, and social studies, encouraging students to research historical and mythological figures while building confidence and presentation skills in an engaging, memorable way.
