SSA’s Country Day School makes learning fun and engaging through events like the annual Wax Museum, where students transform themselves into famous and historical figures.
Students selected who they wanted to embody for the day and then deeply explored that person’s life and story. They then created exhibits, dressed up as their chosen person, and delivered captivating biographical speeches to attendees of the event.
By allowing choice and making the learning hands-on, this event integrates writing, research, and public speaking skills, enriching each student’s learning journey. By stepping into the shoes of influential figures, students develop a more balanced and informed worldview, understanding the complexities and contributions of various individuals throughout history.
Maya Tuttle captured great portraits of the students.
