Senior School Science Olympiad Team Finishes 7th at Northview Invitational

The Senior School Science Olympiad Team finished in 7th place out of 60 teams in Division C (Grades 9-12) at the Northview Science Olympiad Invitational on Saturday, December 7. The following students received awards for their events:

  • Evan X., Ethan H., and Allison G.: 3rd Place for Experimental Design
  • Evan X. and Ethan H.: 4th Place for Ecology
  • Evan X. and Allison G.: 6th Place for Helicopter
  • Andrew X. and Allison G.: 7th for Towers
  • Andrew X., Allison G., and Rochelle L.: 8th in Codebusters
  • Tania L. and Ethan H.: 8th in Dynamic Planet
  • Tania L. and Dominic P.: 8th in Geologic Mapping

Science Olympiad is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education, increasing male, female and minority interest in science, creating a technologically-literate workforce and providing recognition for outstanding achievement by both students and teachers.

Congratulations to the team and their coaches, Senior School science teachers Joe Martens, Russell Grant, and Jamison Burke.
