Junior School third graders culminated their U.S. state project with the annual Third Grade State Fair, held Tuesday, March 14, in Withers Gymnasium.
The students kicked off the fair by performing My Country 'Tis of Thee on the ukulele, under the direction of music teacher Chris Donato. Next they moved to their state tables to showcase their State Floats, State Food Trucks and State Cookbooks while wearing their State T-shirts. Students welcomed families and guests while answering questions about projects and sharing all they've learned along the way. In addition, students have created State Green Screen Videos sharing fun facts about each of their states! Thanks to art teacher Kelly Bellini, who facilitated the creation of the food trucks and T-shirts, and Educational Technology Collaborator Brittany Andy for supporting the green screen project.
Congratulations to all of the students and to third grade homeroom teachers Brandon Howe, Jennifer Riscili and Dan Stern on a fantastic state fair!
