Shady Side Academy is partnering with Rite Aid to host a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic this Saturday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Curry Gymnasium on the SSA Senior School campus at 423 Fox Chapel Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 15238.

Rite Aid pharmacists will be on site to administer the Pfizer vaccine to individuals 16 and up. The clinic is by appointment only; no walk-ins will be accepted. Appointments must be made online at www.shadysideacademy.org/vaccine-clinic by Thursday, April 22, at noon.

Registration for the clinic first opened last week for high school students age 16 and up who attend SSA and several area independent schools. Now, registration is open to the public for any individual age 16 and up, to fill the remaining appointments.

Individuals must be 16 years old by Friday, April 23, to be eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine on Saturday. On the day of the clinic, registrants must bring this completed Rite Aid consent form (signed by a parent if under 18), a photocopy of the their health insurance card, and a photo ID (driver's license or school ID). Parents are not required to accompany children ages 16 and 17 as long as they bring the above items.

Signage on campus will direct registrants to parking in the Hillman Center lot and the clinic in Curry Gym. Participants will be notified about a follow-up clinic on campus approximately three weeks later to receive the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
