Shady Side Academy senior Frankie Fuhrer has been selected to play in the prestigious 2018 Roundball Classic All-Star Games, which feature the top senior basketball players in Western Pennsylvania.
The top boys and girls players from each classification in the WPIAL and City League will play in a series of all-star games on Friday, April 20, and Saturday, April 21, at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa. Fuhrer will play in the Boys Class 3A/1A game at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The weekend also includes a recognition dinner for players and their families on Thursday evening.
Being selected for the Roundball Classic is a distinctive honor. The committee only considers Western Pennsylvania players who have been selected for all-section teams and/or represented their school/community in exemplary fashion, both academically and athletically.
