Shady Side Academy junior Naman Dua and freshman Colin Gramley earned a silver medal, finishing as the state runner-up at the PIAA Class 3A Boys Doubles Tennis Championship on Saturday, May 26, in Hershey, Pa.
Dua and Gramley, the WPIAL doubles champions, defeated North Penn's Frank Yanni and Ansh Sharma, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 (27), in the PIAA first round and topped Delaware Valley's Tomas Reese and Chris Vibert, 6-0, 6-1, in the PIAA second round on Friday, May 25, in Hershey. On Saturday morning, the duo beat Great Valley's Nikhil Gangoli and Sam Kesti, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, to advance to the state finals. In the PIAA finals on Saturday afternoon, Dua and Gramley fell to Cathedral Prep's Joe DeMarco and Alec Thomas, 4-6, 1-6, to finish second in the state.
