Sixth Grader Named to True Lacrosse National Team

JP HenryShady Side Academy Middle School sixth grade student JP Henry has been named to the True Lacrosse National Team in his age division (Class of 2023) for the second year in a row. He is one of 22 players from Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah and Wisconsin to be selected to the team, and the only Pennsylvania representative. Tryouts were held at the True Lacrosse headquarters in Chicago on Feb. 4. JP's team will attend training camp at Towson University in Baltimore July 7-9 and compete in the Naptown Challenge in Annapolis on July 10-12.

Dan Usaj, JP's club coach and SSA's varsity boys lacrosse coach, shared, " JP is already a five-tool player at his age. He has great stick skills, can score, makes the assist when needed, and he has an amazing work ethic."
