Sixth Grade Religions of the World Field Trip
On Friday, Nov. 12, the sixth grade class at the Middle School took a field trip to visit four houses of worship in Pittsburgh. They toured the Sri Venkateswara temple, Hindu Jain temple, Muslim Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, First Baptist Church, and Rodef Shalom synagogue. The students have just learned about Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Hinduism in social studies class. This trip furthered their knowledge about these religions of the world while giving them a chance to ask questions to community members.
