Shady Side Academy is offering a fall baseball clinic designed to teach young players the fundamentals and techniques of the game. All players will learn and practice proper techniques for throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and base running.
The clinic is open to kids ages 8-13 of all skill levels and will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 22 and 23, at the baseball field on the SSA Senior School Campus, 423 Fox Chapel Road, Fox Chapel.
The clinic will be led by two former MLB players, SSA Head Varsity Baseball Coach Jordan Steranka and SSA Varsity Pitching Coach Chris Peters, as well as other SSA assistant coaches and select varsity players.
Each child will receive individualized attention and will participate in a typical practice led by the coaches. Participant is asked to bring a bat, glove, helmet, baseball pants, cleats and tennis shoes.
Cost is $100 for both sessions. Space is limited to ensure maximum individualized attention.
