Senior School Students Recognized in Local Chinese Speech Competition

Five Shady Side Academy Senior School students have received recognition in a local high school Chinese speech competition organized by the Asian Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh and Chinese Language Teachers Association of Western Pennsylvania. The students' video submissions were judged by professors from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh.

Senior Cameron Casey won the Excellent Speech Award for his presentation on the classic Tang poem "《登鹳雀楼》欣赏", junior Sean Ma won the Excellent Speech Award for her presentation on "《题西林壁》欣赏" and sophomores Thompson Lau, Owen Martens and Wilson Todd's group work "SSA高中校园生活" won the Excellent Video Award.
