Senior School Student Artwork Displayed at Local Exhibit

Six Shady Side Academy Senior School art students will have their ceramic artwork displayed at the Pittsburgh Area High School Students Exhibition. The exhibit will be held at the Clay Place at Standard in Carnegie, with an opening reception on Thursday, April 13, from 6-8 p.m.

Shady Side students participating in the show are seniors Kay Hughes, Olivia Coyne, Rylee Hickey and Kate Kander and sophomores Connor Leemhuis and Rachele Whitehead. Senior School art teacher and SSA alumnus Scott Aiken '79 will also have a ceramic project on display in the Instructor's category.

The exhibition juror is ceramic artist Bethany Benson, an associate professor in the Arts Department at Juniata College. SSA is one of 16 local schools to participate in the exhibition. Learn more at www.clayplaceatstandard.com.
