Senior School Spanish Students Create Jump Ropes From Recycled Plastic Bags

On Friday, Oct. 8, Senior School students in Jessica Basta's Spanish V class ended their unit on plastics, recycling and programs throughout the Spanish-speaking world that benefit the environment with a fun project. They brought in used plastic grocery bags and spent the day making them into jump ropes! Some students decided to keep their jump ropes for future outdoor excitement, and others will be donated to Casa Chirilagua in Alexandria, Va., an organization that works with bilingual children in the area. A great project and a nice Friday break for this group of seniors!
