Senior School Service Learning Club Volunteers at Family House
On Saturday, Sept. 25, Shady Side Academy Senior School Service Learning Club members sophomores Sara Laman and Charlotte Sauer, and seniors Karen Linares-Mendoza, Riley Doyle, Emmie Jordan and Aasia Gabbour volunteered to prepare a meal at Family House in Shadyside. Along with the club's faculty advisor, Lindsey Myers, the students made vegetarian chili, tossed salad, chip bags and chocolate chip cookies.
Family House offers housing at a reduced fee for family members of or those receiving medical care at Pittsburgh area hospitals.
