Senior School Public Health Club Raises $700 for COVID-19 Relief In India
Sophomore Smrithi Shyam and members of the Shady Side Academy Senior School Public Health Club raised more than $700 to send necessary equipment such as oxygen concentrators, PPE and testing kits to India through UNICEF during its current COVID-19 crisis.
Members of the club designed and sold SSA "Make A World of Difference" T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts throughout the month of May and hosted a bake sale at the Senior School on May 12-13.
Congratulations to Smrithi, the Public Health Club and faculty advisor Kelsey Williams, and thank you to all of the SSA community members who purchased T-shirts and hoodies!
