Senior School Fall Play Crew Wins Prime Stage Theatre High School Drama Award

The Shady Side Academy Senior School fall play production of 80s DREAM, a 1980s adaptation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, won the Prime Stage Theatre High School Drama Award for Best Stage Crew. The award was presented via Facebook Live on the Prime Stage Theatre's Facebook page on Saturday, March 28.

80s DREAM Cast and Crew

The 80s DREAM stage crew was led by Technical Director Austin Davidheiser, Assistant Technical Director Tron McConnell '71 and stage manager junior Hannah Romoff, and includes seniors Charlie Brunner, Sam Tolmer and Daniel Xu, juniors Em Davidheiser, Zhuoxin Ma and Bridget Onest, sophomores Isabel Brunner and Georgia Horgan, and freshman Zach Kamenov.

The SSA production was nominated in seven categories of Prime Stage Theatre's inaugural High School Drama Awards: Best Overall Production, Best Stage Crew, Best Actor (junior Jake Rohr, Oberon), Best Actress (junior Charlotte McDaniel, Titania), Best Supporting Actor (senior Clay Patterson, Lysander), Best Supporting Actress (sophomore Ava Kronman, Puck) and Best Stage Manager (Hannah Romoff).
