This is Lauer's second medal at the state championship. Last year, he finished in fifth place, marking the highest-ever finish for a member of the SSA boys golf team at the state finals.

A total of 48 players competed in the PIAA tournament, with the top 10 earning medals. Lauer qualified for the event by finishing in the top 10 of the WPIAL Individual Finals.

Lauer finishes his high school career as one of the most successful golfers in SSA history, with two top 10 finishes in the WPIAL Individual Championship, and two top 10 finishes in the PIAA Individual Championship. Lauer plans to continue his golf career next year at Davidson College, an NCAA Division I program that competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Congratulations, Adam!
