PIAA Lacrosse: Girls Advance to Quarterfinals, Boys Close Out Season

Girls Lacrosse

On Tuesday, June 1, the Shady Side Academy girls lacrosse team defeated Hershey, 11-8, in the first round of the PIAA Class 3A Girls Lacrosse Championship at Greater Latrobe High School. Junior Jenny Woodings led SSA with three goals. With the win, SSA advances to the state quarterfinals to face District 3 third-place finisher Manheim Township at State College High School at 4 p.m., on Saturday, June 5.

Congratulations to Head Coach Katy Phillips and the entire team! Good luck in the quarterfinals!

Boys Lacrosse

On Tuesday, June 1, the SSA boys lacrosse team fell to District 3 champions Wilson, 12-6, in the first round of the PIAA Class 3A Boys Lacrosse Championship at Manheim Township. SSA closes out the 2021 season with a 20-15 overall record.

Congratulations to Head Coach Cam Thompson and the entire team on a great season!
