The Shady Side Academy Middle School Drama Dragons presented the 2020 fall play Mirror, Mirror: A Virtual Fractured Fairy Tale on Thursday, Nov. 19. The safe, socially distance performance was prerecorded via Zoom, and the entire student body enjoyed watching the video in their advisory homerooms.

The Evil Queen wishes to be the fairest of them all. But when her Magic Mirror informs her that it is Snow White who is most fair, the queen is livid! When asked how to find the princess, her mirror mentions that Snow White has run away. The Evil Queen summons great magic in hopes of finding Snow White – she can now to look through all mirrors throughout the kingdom. But there's a catch... the magic also allows everyone else's mirrors to show them what they most wish to see.

The cast and crew included 20 students in grades 6-8 and featured eighth grader Sophia Gombos as The Evil Queen, seventh grader Andrew Li as The Magic Mirror and eighth grader Maanya Goulatia as Snow White. Additional cast and crew members included eighth graders Navya Arora, Jeffrey Brunner, Jonas Hong, Ethan Hou, Ava Jankowski, Juliet Krokosky, Avanti Muvvala and Ava Terezis; seventh graders Ahmeena Anthony, Ethan Chen, Jazzy Johnson, Ma'Nayah Kelley, Rosemary Kutz-Flamenbaum, Regan Mulderig, Maddie Rhoades and Sophia Vrcic; and sixth grader Anna Litster.
