Junior School Third Grade State Fair

The Junior School's annual Third Grade State Fair was held on Wednesday, March 11. Following winter break, third graders researched their assigned U.S. states using text and online resources, then completed a variety of projects for display at the State Fair. The projects, which were a collaboration of homeroom, STEM, art and computer classes, included: state float boxes with STEM moving/lighting component, tri-fold poster boards, postcard challenge, state birds and state T-shirts. Students performed a class play, Mystery of the Missing States, which included several musical selections of singing and recorder pieces. Cameos from several teachers added surprises and comedy to the show! Following the performance, students answered questions and shared projects at their state tables, and all enjoyed delicious state food recipes prepared by families. Thank you to all the teachers and parents for supporting the State Fair.

Congratulations to the third graders for all their hard work in this collaborative learning experience!
