Shady Side Academy junior Neely Nicholson competed in the WPIAL Class 3A Girls Golf Individual Championship on Thursday, Oct. 7, at the par-72 Hannastown Golf Club in Greensburg, Pa.

Nicholson shot an 89 to finish in a tie for 24th place. A total of 36 players from Class 3A competed in the 18-hole stroke play event, with the top seven advancing to the PIAA Individual Championship.
