The Shady Side Academy girls lacrosse team defeated North Hills, 13-9, in the first round of the WPIAL 3A Championship on Tuesday, May 15, at Fox Chapel Area High School. Junior Emmie Lau led SSA with seven goals, while junior Abby Todd added four. SSA will face Upper St. Clair in the WPIAL quarterfinals on Thursday, May 17, at 6 p.m. at Pine-Richland. Good luck!

Also on Tuesday, the SSA boys tennis team fell to Cathedral Prep, 3-2, in the first round of the PIAA 3A Team Championship at Pennbriar Athletic Club in Erie, Pa., closing out team play for the season.
