Eleven members of the Shady Side Academy girls and boys soccer teams earned postseason honors from the WPIAL for the fall 2020 season, with one also earning all-state honors.

Girls Soccer

Six members of the SSA girls soccer team earned all-section honors, three of whom also earned All-WPIAL honors. Seniors Emory Anderson, Erin Canning and Melissa Riggins and juniors Autumn Casey, Gabby Hill-Junke and Sophia White were named to the WPIAL Section 2 AA All-Section Finest 15. Anderson, Hill-Junke and Riggins were also named to the Class AA All-WPIAL team.

The SSA girls soccer team finished the 2020 season as the WPIAL runner-up, with a 12-1 overall record.

Boys Soccer

Five members of the SSA varsity boys soccer team earned all-section honors, four of whom also earned All-WPIAL honors. Seniors Zach Conti and Caleb Massie and juniors Joe Anania and Sam Farner were named to the Section 2 AA All-Section Finest 15, while senior Bruce David earned honorable mention all-section. Conti, Massie, Anania and Farner were named to the Class AA All-WPIAL team.

In addition, Farner was one of 14 WPIAL players named to the Western Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association All-State team for 2020.

The SSA boys soccer team finished the 2020 season as the WPIAL runner-up, with a 14-3 overall record.
