On Saturday, Jan. 14, Senior School Service Learning Club members prepared a meal at the Family House of Pittsburgh. The meal included a baked potato bar with toppings, chili, salad, fruit and cookies.
SSA volunteers included freshmen Diya Shrishrimal and Avani Agrawal, sophomores Tommy Kann, Michael McCarroll, Maanya Goulatia, Navya Arora and Anna Apetrei-Pandrea, junior Sarah Grand, senior Na’Khiya Ellis and club faculty advisor Lindsey Myers.
This is the second time this year that the club has prepared a meal at Family House, and they look forward to returning in the spring.
Family House offers housing at a reduced fee for family members of or those receiving medical care at Pittsburgh area hospitals.
