Senior School Service Learning Club Stuffs Easter Eggs for Hospital Patients
The Shady Side Academy Senior School Service Learning Club made Easter a little sweeter for patients at West Penn Hospital through a recent service project.
At a weekly club meeting, members of the club cleaned and sanitized plastic Easter eggs, then stuffed them with chocolates and candy. On Good Friday, April 7, Service Learning faculty advisor Lindsey Myers and her 4-year-old son, Benji, delivered the filled eggs to West Penn Hospital, where they were distributed to patients in the Hematology, Oncology, Stem Cell Transplant and Progressive Care Units in time for Easter.
Thank you to all of the students who donated their time to this project!
