On Saturday, April 16, members of the Shady Side Academy Senior School Service Learning Club, including freshmen Anna Apetrei-Pandrea, Anya Jain and Avery Litwin, joined SSA alumni Amber Shergill '14 and Kathryn Egan '05 in volunteering to prepare a meal for the residents of Family House in Shady Side. Along with the club's faculty advisor, Lindsey Myers, the students and alumni prepared a meal of ham sliders, green beans with onions and garlic, fresh fruit, chips, and cookies. A special thank you to alumna Whitney Menarcheck '06 for partnering with the club to include Shady Side alumni in service learning events this year!
