Senior School Jazz Band Performs at Harmony Senior Living

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, the Senior School Jazz Band performed at the Harmony at Harts Run senior living community in Glenshaw as part of a special event that included dinner, trivia, giveaways and music.

Harmony residents and their families enjoyed hearing the band perform Gospel John, L-O-V-E, Sweet Georgia Brown, Basin Street Blues, On a Clear Day and Fever. Students performing included seniors Ella Gardner, Sloane Simon, Chris Squires and Louis Ye; juniors Mitch David, Deacon Durham, Pedro da Silva, Joe Krokosky, Abril Linares Mendoza, Otis Liu, Yuntong Pan and Hari Viswanathan; sophomores Jeffrey Brunner, William Gao, Shaurya Gulati, Kenzo Tran and Amy Xing; and freshman Samraj Delfyett.

The SSA Jazz Band is under the direction of music teacher Stan Nevola. The group was invited to perform at Harmony in part because Squires’ grandfather lives there.
