Rising Senior Places Second in American Harp Society National Competition
Sophia Jho, a junior who studies harp with Gretchen Van Hoesen, achieved great success in the 2023 American Harp Society National Competition. After being selected as one of eight finalists in the Intermediate II division (up to age 18) through preliminary video auditions, she showcased her talent in the live final rounds held at the Colburn School in Los Angeles on Friday, June 2. Sophia's outstanding performance earned her a second place national ranking and the opportunity to perform in the Winners Recital on Sunday, June 4.
