On Tuesday, Feb. 7, Shady Side Academy alumnus and professional musician Chet Vincent '03 visited music teacher Stan Nevola's Senior School Guitar Workshop class to teach and perform for the students.
Guitar Workshop is a one-term course designed to be an introduction to playing the guitar. The four students enrolled in the course for the winter term are junior Maya Wilshire, sophomore Tessie Wong and freshmen Liliana Toma and Neeta Yechoor.
Vincent is a Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter who has performed guitar and vocals with his bands The Big Bend, Biirdwatcher and The Music Industry for more than a decade. His latest album, Young Leaves by Chet Vincent and the Music Industry, will be released digitally in late February 2023.
