Girls & Boys Lacrosse Players Earn Postseason Honors
Ten members of the Shady Side Academy girls' and boys' WPIAL Championship lacrosse teams earned postseason honors in spring 2022, including six who received national honors from USA Lacrosse:
In girls' lacrosse, five players earned postseason honors:
- Senior midfielder Cecelia Messner - USA Lacrosse All-American, All-WPIAL, 3A All-Section
- Senior midfielder Jenny Woodings - USA Lacrosse All-American, All-WPIAL, 3A All-Section
- Senior midfielder Dylan Green - USA Lacrosse Academic All-American, 3A All-Section
- Senior attacker Molly Walsh - USA Lacrosse Jackie Pitts Award for Western PA (recognizes one player from each area who goes above and beyond in service to team, school and community), 3A All-Section
- Junior defender Antoinette Fitzgerald - All-Section
In boys' lacrosse, five players earned postseason honors:
- Junior midfielder Ethan Salvia - USA Lacrosse All-American, WPIAL 3A Player of the Year, All-WPIAL, 3A All-Section
- Senior long-stick midfielder Thompson Lau - USA Lacrosse Academic All-American, All-Section
- Junior attacker J.P. Henry - All-WPIAL, 3A All-Section
- Junior defender Andrew Krakora - All-WPIAL, 3A All-Section
- Senior attacker Will Badeer - 3A All-Section
