The Shady Side Academy girls' basketball team has advanced to the PIAA quarterfinals for the first time in program history!
SSA defeated District 10 champion Mercyhurst Prep, 59-37, in the second round of the PIAA Class 3A Championships at Slippery Rock University on Tuesday, March 14. Freshman Karis Thomas led the Bulldogs with 27 points, while sophomore Cam Capel added 11 points. Watch video highlights of the game here.
The Bulldogs (25-3) will face District 6 champion River Valley (27-2) in the PIAA quarterfinals on Friday, March 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Armstrong High School in Kittanning, Pa The PIAA 3A bracket can be downloaded here. Playoff tickets are $8 each and can be purchased online from the PIAA here.
