Boys Lacrosse Closes Out Season in PIAA First Round
The Shady Side Academy boys' lacrosse team lost a hard-fought match to District 3 champion Manheim Township, 14-11, in the first round of the 2023 PIAA 3A Championship at Manheim Township High School in Lancaster on Tuesday, June 6. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead and held a 7-5 edge at halftime, but were unable to hold off a late rally by the undefeated Blue Streaks. Senior JP Henry led SSA with five goals while junior Mac Mohn added three.
SSA closes out the 2023 season with a 10-12 overall record and an impressive postseason run that included a second-place WPIAL finish. Congratulations to Head Coach Cam Thompson and the team on a great season!
