SSA Summer is seeking energetic, positive, creative individuals to mentor and interact with children in our 2018 summer camps!
For our multiple camps in Fox Chapel and Point Breeze, we employs both general counselors and activity specialists.
Counselors & Junior Counselors
Our summer day camps and sports camps employ counselors (college students) and junior counselors (rising eleventh and twelfth graders) to supervise groups of 10-16 children, grades PK-9, on weekdays for the full summer (June 11 - Aug. 10, 2018). Specialists plan and teach lessons to groups of 10-16 children with the aid of counselors. Past specialty areas include: ceramics, film, outdoor adventure, tennis, science and media arts. See the Specialist job description for more information.
With the assistance of the aquatic director, lifeguards co-teach swimming lessons and manage our indoor pool for groups of 15-30 children. Lifeguards must be certified through Aug. 10, 2018.
