Parkin Fellowship applicants must be Form IV or Form V students, in good standing with the Academy, whose passion is to make a difference through a community service project or by engaging in a project to help sustain or enhance the environment.

 

Students may not apply for joint or collaborative projects. Suggested providers: NetWork Volunteers and Where There Be Dragons.

 

Completed applications are to be submitted electronically to tsabundayo@shadysideacademy.org no later than Friday, January 12, 2024.

 

After each application and project is reviewed, semifinalists will be selected from the applicant pool. The semifinalists will be interviewed by the selection committee comprised of the President, Senior School Head, Dean of Student Life, and Director of Global & Off Campus Programs. If necessary, finalists may be selected for second interviews. Ultimately, six to eight Parkin Fellows may be chosen, depending on project travel costs and available funding.
