Shady Side Academy Junior School fifth grade teacher Jennifer Asmonga was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and participated in the Arthritis Foundation's Camp Holiday Trails as a teenager. Asmonga was honored at the Foundations' annual Let's Move Together Spring Walk on June 2. To support her, a number of students joined the Jen's Angels team, raising more than $2,200, $325 of which was raised through a dress-down day at the Junior School on May 24.
Asmonga also participated with SSA alumnus Dr. Terrence Starz '63, a local rheumatologist, who served as one of the event's organizers. View a photo slideshow of the event.
