he Rotary Club of Pittsburgh has honored Shady Side Academy senior Erin Gorse as the Student of Distinction for the month for June. The Rotary Club's motto is "Service above self." Erin was honored for her achievements academically, athletically and in the realm of theater.
As a member of Community Builders, Erin serves as a student scribe in the Senior School writing center, and has been a long-time volunteer at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Teachers, coaches and advisors all praise Erin for her commitment to working with others and helping bring out the best in her peers.
Erin was honored at a Rotary Club luncheon held at the Omni William Penn Hotel on May 16 with her parents in attendance. Congratulations, Erin!
