Spanish at Shady Side Academy Junior School

Every child at Shady Side Academy Junior School, PreK-5, takes Spanish so the language program is an integral part of EVERY child's education. In this class, at every grade level, the emphasis is on both language acquisition and cultural understanding. Our lessons, games and activities all help to open a new world to our students, one filled with new traditions, exotic sights, sounds, tastes, and of course, Spanish!

Biography

¡Hola! My name is Tiffanee Peterson. I am from College Station, Texas.  I attended Texas A&M University where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Spanish, and I also studied abroad at la Universidad de las Américas in Puebla, Mexico. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh I taught kindergarten for three years in an English/Spanish dual language program in College Station.

I have lived in Pittsburgh and worked at Shady Side Academy since 2007.  Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, travel, gardening, and reading.
